WELDER - Aluminium

As a Welder at our company, you will be responsible for performing precision welding operations on aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium sheet metal parts in compliance with NADCAP standards (AWS D17.1). Your key responsibilities will include: - Ensuring all welded joints meet required X-ray inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT) quality criteria. - Selecting and setting appropriate welding parameters (current, voltage, speed, shielding gas, etc.) based on material type and thickness and weld joint. - Maintaining proper documentation of route card/Job card, welding log maintenance, daily work log. - Following and promoting welding safety standards, including the correct use of PPE, handling of gases, and maintenance of equipment. To qualify for this position, you should meet the following requirements: - ITI Welding or Diploma in mechanical. - Minimum 5 years of experience in sheet metal welding. - Minimum 23 years of experience in NADCAP or aerospace-certified welding environments. - Hands-on experience with GTAW/TIG and MIG processes for aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium sheet metal. - Understanding of weld defects, such as porosity, undercut, incomplete penetration, etc., and their root causes. - Ability to interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, and process specifications. - Must be capable of producing X-ray-quality weld joints that meet aerospace and NADCAP standards.
