Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Website Developer with deep expertise in WordPress to join our dynamic team in Pune. The ideal candidate is passionate about building high-quality digital experiences, has a keen eye for design and detail, and excels in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Website Design & Development: Build responsive, high-performance WordPress websites from scratch or based on approved designs (PSD, Figma, Adobe XD). Develop custom WordPress themes and child themes using best practices. Ensure pixel-perfect implementation of UI/UX designs across devices and browsers. 2. Customization & Maintenance: Customize existing themes and plugins to meet evolving project needs. Maintain, update, and troubleshoot existing websites, including security patches and plugin compatibility. Configure and optimize content management workflows for internal teams and clients. 3. Performance Optimization: Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO (e.g., image compression, lazy loading, caching, minimizing scripts). Leverage tools like GTmetrix, PageSpeed Insights, and Lighthouse to assess and improve Core Web Vitals. 4. Plugin & API Integration: Evaluate, install, and configure third-party plugins or develop custom plugins as needed. Integrate with third-party systems and APIs (e.g., CRMs, marketing automation tools, payment gateways). Troubleshoot and debug API and plugin-related issues. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and marketing teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment with business goals. Provide estimates and timelines for development tasks and contribute to sprint planning sessions. Participate in client calls or presentations if required. 6. Quality Assurance & Testing: Perform functional, compatibility, and responsive testing across browsers and devices. Address QA feedback proactively and ensure bug-free delivery. Implement best practices for code quality, documentation, and reusability. 7. Security & Compliance: Ensure WordPress installations are secure and follow OWASP and WordPress security guidelines. Implement SSL, secure admin access, and prevent common vulnerabilities like XSS, CSRF, etc. 8. Continuous Learning & Innovation: Stay current with WordPress trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Recommend improvements and contribute to process efficiency in the web development lifecycle Required Skills and Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience with a strong portfolio of WordPress and web development projects. Proficiency with WordPress architecture, database structure, and coding standards. Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP. Experience with version control tools (like Git). Strong understanding of SEO, page speed optimization, and web accessibility. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines effectively. Nice to have: Experience with analytics tools like Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager.
