WebFOCUS Development Engineer

As a WebFOCUS Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying WebFOCUS reports, dashboards, and visualizations. You will create and manage WebFOCUS procedures (.fex), metadata layers, and reporting cubes. Additionally, you will build and maintain ReportCaster schedules for automated report distribution. Collaboration with business users and product managers to gather requirements and deliver insights is a key part of the role. You will also perform data analysis, data modeling, and report optimization. Clear and effective functional and technical documentation writing is expected. Participation in solution architecture discussions and offering technical recommendations will be required. Ensuring report performance, access security, and high-quality user experience is essential. Key Skills: - 3-7 years of experience in WebFOCUS development. - Proficiency in App Studio, InfoAssist, Developer Studio. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Expertise in WebFOCUS metadata modeling, report/cube development, ReportCaster configuration and scheduling, security design, and sign-on integration. - Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases. - Knowledge of PowerBI, Microsoft Fabric, and familiarity with Azure Services. - Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to engage directly with end-users for dashboard design. Desired Skills: - Familiarity with Azure Services like Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
