As a WebFOCUS Development Engineer, your responsibilities will involve designing, developing, testing, and deploying WebFOCUS reports, dashboards, and visualizations. Additionally, you will be tasked with creating and managing WebFOCUS procedures (.fex), metadata layers, and reporting cubes. You will play a crucial role in building and maintaining ReportCaster schedules for automated report distribution. Collaboration with business users and product managers to gather requirements and deliver insights is a key aspect of this position. Data analysis, data modeling, and report optimization are also integral parts of your responsibilities. You will be required to write clear and effective functional and technical documentation. Furthermore, you will participate in solution architecture discussions and offer technical recommendations to enhance processes. Ensuring report performance, access security, and high-quality user experiences will be a vital part of your role. To excel in this position, you must possess at least 3-7 years of experience in WebFOCUS development. A strong command of App Studio, InfoAssist, and Developer Studio is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial for effective interaction with team members and stakeholders. Expertise in WebFOCUS metadata modeling, report/cube development, ReportCaster configuration and scheduling, WebFOCUS security design, sign-on integration, proficiency in SQL, and working with relational databases are all necessary skills. Additionally, knowledge of PowerBI, Microsoft Fabric, and familiarity with Azure Services is highly desirable. A strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are also important for this role. You should have the ability to engage directly with end-users for dashboard design and troubleshooting. It would be advantageous to have familiarity with Azure Services like Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks.
