Web Developer: Shopify & WordPress

Role Overview

As a Web Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining client websites on Shopify and WordPress. Youll work closely with our design and marketing teams to create high-performing, user-friendly, and conversion-focused websites.

Role & responsibilities

• Build, customise, and maintain

  Shopify stores

  (themes, Liquid coding, app integrations).
• Develop, customise, and manage

  WordPress websites

  (themes, plugins, custom code).
• Implement responsive and mobile-friendly design across all platforms.
• Ensure sites are

  optimised for SEO, speed, and performance

  .
• Integrate third-party tools such as payment gateways, CRMs, and analytics.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly.
• Collaborate with designers to bring mockups and wireframes to life.
• Maintain proper version control and backups.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience with

  Shopify development

  (Liquid, APIs, theme customisation).
• Strong

  WordPress

  knowledge (PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, custom plugins).
• Familiarity with

  Shopify apps

  and WordPress plugins.
• Understanding of

  SEO best practices

  and on-page optimisation.
• Knowledge of

  Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and basic tracking setup

  .
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with

  WooCommerce

  .
• Knowledge of

  Shopify Plus

  features.
• Basic design skills (Canva, Figma, or Adobe).
• Familiarity with marketing automation tools (Mailchimp, Klaviyo).
