Web Designers at MyAdvice are expected to stay current with evolving design trends, UI/UX principles, and technologies evaluating which approaches will elevate the experience for our diverse client base.
This position requires regular communication with internal teams, providing design solutions that enhance usability, engagement, and performance while adhering to MyAdvice’s design standards and best practices.
Essential Duties

Design visually compelling, user-centred website and mobile layouts, along with digital assets, that align with client goals and adhere to brand guidelines

Create wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes and high-fidelity visual designs using industry-standard design tools and UX best practices

Take full ownership of assigned design projects, ensuring timely delivery, accuracy and alignment with project requirements and brand standards

Manage design revisions from initial concept through final delivery, including preparing all assets for seamless development handoff

Collaborate with co-designers by reviewing work, providing constructive feedback and ensuring consistency across all design outputs

Participate in daily standup meetings to report project status, review priorities and maintain team alignment

Communicate design decisions clearly, ensuring shared understanding of goals, requirements and user experience considerations

Maintain and leverage MyAdvice design systems, style guides, templates and pattern libraries to ensure scalability and visual consistency across all digital products

Contribute ideas to improve design workflows, enhance team collaboration and elevate overall design quality within the MyAdvice creative team
Required Skills + Experience

Strong proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop and Illustrator

Solid understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive web and mobile design, and accessibility best practices

Experience creating wireframes, interactive prototypes and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile platforms

Knowledge of WordPress development and web coding languages such as HTML and CSS, with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers and make design decisions independently when needed

Familiarity with design systems, style guides and pattern libraries to ensure visual consistency and scalability across projects

Excellent visual design skills, including layout, typography, color theory and iconography

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions within a team environment

Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and adapt to evolving requirements in a fast-paced, collaborative setting

Proven experience designing responsive websites and mobile interfaces, with a strong portfolio showcasing wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Design or a related field

3–5 years of professional experience in web design, UI/UX design

Solid understanding of UI/UX principles, accessibility standards and responsive design

Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop and Illustrator, with experience or understanding of WordPress development

Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills
