Ward Boy/Girl

12th standard Passed or with degree preferred.

Both Male or female below the age of 35 years only considered.

The main job functions required to be performed by the Ward Boy / Ward Girl candidates are given as below:-

1. Patient Assistance & Escorting

• Guide and escort patients/attenders to OPD rooms, diagnostic areas, labs, wards, billing, pharmacy, or other service points as directed by Front Office.
• Provide basic support to elderly, differently abled, or confused patients.

2. Queue Management & Crowd Control

• Maintain order in OPD waiting area, ensuring smooth patient flow.
• Support FO staff in managing queues, maintaining seating discipline, and helping patients understand their turn.

3. File & Document Handling

• Collect, arrange, and deliver patient files, investigation reports, registration forms, and other documents between departments as assigned.
• Ensure safe, timely, and confidential handling of records (HIPAA/NABH compliance).

4. General Support to Front Office Operations

• Assist in preparing OPD rooms and waiting areas (cleanliness, readiness, availability of chairs, wheelchairs, pens/forms).
• Bring required items (water, stationery, forms, ID bands, etc.) to the FO counter when requested.
• Help in organizing crowd during peak hours.

5. Patient-Centric Behaviour & Communication

• Maintain polite, respectful, and empathetic communication with patients and attendants.
• Follow instructions from Front Office Executives, Duty Managers, and Nursing team promptly.
• Report concerns or issues immediately to senior FO staff.

6. Wheelchair Assistance

• Provide wheelchair service for patients requiring mobility support.
• Ensure wheelchairs are clean and parked properly after use.

7. Safety & Compliance

• Support safety protocols during OPD rush, emergencies, or patient transfers.
• Follow infection control and hygiene practices as directed by Nursing/Quality team.
