Role Overview

Senior Travel Sales Executive

The executive will be responsible for understanding client requirements, offering personalized travel solutions, creating detailed itineraries, and closing high-value travel deals. This role requires a proactive approach to sales, a deep understanding of the travel industry, and the ability to deliver exceptional customer experiences to global clientele.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Business Development

    • Generate and convert leads into sales by actively pitching travel packages to international clients.
    • Upsell and cross-sell travel services including flights, hotels, holiday packages, tours, and activities.
    • Negotiate pricing, prepare proposals, and close sales with high conversion rates.
  • Client Relationship Management

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring repeat business and referrals.
    • Understand client preferences and design customized travel solutions aligned with their needs.
    • Provide pre-sales and post-sales support to ensure complete client satisfaction.
  • Travel Itinerary Planning

    • Create and present personalized domestic and international itineraries.
    • Ensure cost-effective and well-structured travel solutions.
    • Stay updated with visa regulations, travel insurance, and documentation requirements for global destinations.
  • Industry Knowledge & Trends

    • Keep up-to-date with global travel destinations, market trends, and competitor offerings.
    • Suggest new destinations and travel experiences to attract international clients.
  • Operational Coordination

    • Coordinate with internal teams, airlines, hotels, and service providers for smooth bookings.
    • Ensure accuracy in travel bookings, invoicing, and documentation.

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Minimum

    35 years of experience

    in international travel sales.
  • Strong communication skills with

    Versant Level 5 English proficiency

    (mandatory).
  • Proven track record of

    achieving and exceeding sales targets

    in the travel industry.
  • Expertise in

    customer relationship management (CRM)

    and travel booking software (Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre, etc.).
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities with a consultative sales approach.
  • Attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Knowledge of global travel destinations, packages, visa processes, and market trends.
  • Bachelor’s degree in

    Travel, Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field

  • Prior experience in a

    travel agency or tour operator

    handling international clients is

    mandatory
