Walk - in Drive - Chennai For Instrumentation Engineer

Role and Responsibilities

• Preparation / Review and comply of all E&I deliverables as per the project / client requirement.
• Review of P&ID and ensure the required electrical/ instruments / equipment symbols.
• Preparation / Review of control philosophy, Cause and effect diagram.
• Preparation / Review of Cable schedule, Interconnection schedule, Instrument schedule, Utility schedule, Instrument Index, I/O List, Control Valve, ON/OFF Valve sizing, Alarm & Trip Schedule etc.,
• Preparation / Review of E&I skid BOM, E&I panel BOM and all other BOM with respect to E&I part.
• Preparation / Review of Electrical heat tracing drawings and documents.
• Preparation / Review of FAT/SAT procedures, O&M, Hazardous area schedule, etc.
• Preparation / Review of Tubes and tube fittings BOM as required for E&I connections.
• Review of PLC, LCP, LCS, JB, PDB, EPB box drawings and related documents.
• Preparation / Review all the sub vendor technical offers and to provide technical recommendations / comments.
• Preparation / Review and to identify the opportunities to reduce the material cost / cost by an optimized design.
• Preparation / Review of Electrical wiring drawings, Grounding drawings, Power distribution drawing, etc.
• Preparation / Review of Single line diagram (SLD), Cable routing, Cable tray layout, Conduit layout, etc.
• Preparation / Review of Instrument Hookup drawings.
• Preparation / Review of lighting layout and its detail drawings.
• To support during Bids / Proposals with respect to E&I part.

Preferred Skills / Experience

• Experience in skid packages preferably from oil and gas projects.
• Sound knowledge in reading the P&ID and to propose any changes in P&ID with respect to E&I part.
• Sound Knowledge in Hazardous area classification.
• Sound knowledge in all instruments like Gauges, switches, transmitters, analyzers etc.
• Sound Knowledge of Design standards like NEC, IEC, IEEE, NEMA, NFPA, API, etc.
• Good Knowledge in ISO QMS adherence.
• Good Knowledge in basic piping / tubing, Pipe / tube fittings and its connection details.
