You'll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our software modules, contributing to the seamless operation of our global rail systems. Day-to-day, youll work closely with teams across the business, including Technical Leads, Hardware Designers, and RAMS departments, to ensure the quality and safety of our solutions, mentor team members, and much more.

Youll specifically take care of testing software modules as per their Safety Integrity Levels (SIL)**, but also support software integration and functional testing efforts.

• Testing and validating software modules in alignment with defined SIL levels.
• Applying software processes and standards, such as CMMI, required for testing.
• Collaborating with software architects to contribute to the elaboration of software specifications and architecture.
• Preparing and executing requirement-based test cases and creating detailed test reports.
• Utilizing testing tools like RTRT, creating stubs and drivers, and executing tests on host and target environments.
• Providing peer reviews and constructive feedback to team members and mentoring newcomers to meet quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) objectives.

• Bachelors or Postgraduate degree in Engineering IT, CS, ECE, EEE, or equivalent.
• Proven experience (11-15 years) in software validation and testing, particularly in embedded systems and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Strong knowledge of testing techniques such as black box, white box, equivalence class, boundary value analysis, and robustness analysis.
• Experience with testing tools like RTRT or VectorCast and familiarity with creating/testing TDPs.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C and Ada, and experience with development IDEs.
• Understanding of software design methodologies (e.g., SADT, OOPS) and modelling techniques (e.g., UML, SysML, Matlab).
• Knowledge of industry standards, such as CENELEC SIL4/DO-178A/DO-178B, and domain expertise in networking or transport systems.
• Ability to mentor team members and provide constructive peer reviews.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to guide and influence in a matrix organization.
• Experience working with European customers is a plus but not mandatory.
