VTL Operator

As a VTL (Vertical Turning Lathe) Operator at our Mumbai location, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining VTL machines to manufacture precision components as per technical specifications. Key Responsibilities: - Operate Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) machines for precision machining. - Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. - Set up tools, machine parameters, and workpieces for efficient machining operations. - Monitor cutting speeds, feeds, and depth of cut for optimal performance. - Inspect finished components using measuring instruments (micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, etc.) to ensure dimensional accuracy. - Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of the VTL machine. - Maintain proper documentation of production output and machine usage. - Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Required Skills & Competencies: - Experience in VTL machine operation (Siemens, Fanuc, or Heidenhain controls preferred). - Ability to read and understand technical drawings and machining symbols. - Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, and machine setup. - Experience with precision measuring instruments. - Basic troubleshooting skills for machine errors. - Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality standards. - Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
