About King of the Hill

King of the Hill is an exciting London-based startup in sports betting. We''ve secured substantial funding and are now seeking a talented, Senior Full Stack developer to join our growing dynamic team. Our mission is to create innovative sports products for fans with unique ways to engage with their favourite games.

What will you do?

As a technology leader at King of the Hill, you will be instrumental in shaping the technological landscape of our organisation. This role will operate from the Bengaluru office on a full-time basis. You will help lead our technology initiatives, taking on a strategic role in steering our technical direction. Leveraging your expertise, you will guide our engineering teams and employ cutting-edge technologies to deliver impactful solutions to our users.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire technology landscape, including web and mobile application development.
• Help lead the technical team in implementing projects using state-of-the-art technologies.
• Ensure seamless interaction between frontend and backend teams for a unified user experience.
• Diagnose and resolve performance issues to enhance the user experience, particularly in mobile applications.
• Utilise native APIs for comprehensive integrations across all platforms.
• Regularly maintain and optimise code to uphold high-quality, clean, and efficient applications.
• Drive the evolution of technology stacks, transitioning between frameworks for simultaneous mobile and web app development.

Requirements:

• Proven leadership experience in technology-related roles, with a focus on strategic planning.
• A strong background in JavaScript, with a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in full-stack development.
• Demonstrated success in building applications that have gained significant traction on major platforms (App Store or Google Play) using React Native.
• Business acumen in guiding the iterative development of applications within the Agile framework, focusing on achieving product-market fit quickly and optimizing based on user feedback.
• Bachelors degree in a STEM subject, preferably Computer Science, from an IIT (Indian Institute of Technology).
• Professional backend experience in Java and/or Python.
• Startup DNA – proven experience in building a greenfield application from scratch that has gained significant traction, preferably using React.js and/or React Native.

Desirable:

• Master’s degree in a STEM subject, preferably Computer Science or Mathematics.
