VP - Global Data Controls Design

As a Vice President - Global Data Controls Design at HSBC, you will play a crucial role in owning and delivering end-to-end Data Controls across select markets, businesses, and functions. Your responsibilities will include: - Representing the Global Data Management Office (GDMO) and acting as the primary interface for select global businesses, functions, markets, and regional stakeholders. - Shaping up and tracking design guidelines/changes to align business with data control goals. - Presenting Control designs in governance forums, engaging with a Senior audience for approvals, and addressing concerns/queries. - Collaborating with representatives from GDMO operations, GDT, DAO Business, and Functions on data controls related topics. - Influencing technology, tooling, and architecture teams to build a book-of-work for enhancements/changes required for Data Controls implementation. - Coordinating with CCO and 2LOD on data control design related risk and controls, prioritizing design team Book-of-work, and supporting management reporting. - Contributing to the formulation of the strategy around the customer journey to create a holistic customer experience. - Owning the user experience for Data Management to support data control design and implementation. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelors/Masters in Engineering/Technology, Business Administration, Computer Applications, or any other relevant field. - Experience in Data, Analytics, Architecture, System Implementations, Data Engineering, and Process Transformation. - Engaging with senior stakeholders and business partners from various geographies. - Working knowledge of technologies like ETLs, Reporting, Dashboarding, and analytics tools. - Familiarity with Confluence, JIRA, Agile approaches, and tools like Transformer, Xceptor, Appian, Alteryx. - Knowledge of data classification and related regulations. - Exceptional navigating and influencing skills with a can-do attitude.
