You will join the core architecture team that works across multiple product lines and with hundreds of engineers. You will be working with engineering leaders, product managers and other architects to help set the architectural direction for a major product suite. You will be instrumental in achieving the core team goals: Ensure the technical strategy aligns with the business vision and product direction. Maintain architectural integrity across all value streams and domains. Accelerate delivery through standardized architecture and reusable patterns. Build architectural capability across the organization through mentorship and governance. Proactively manage systemic risks (scalability, performance, maintainability, security). What You're Great At Independently tackling challenges: You don't need anyone to keep you on track. You're organized and efficient Strong soft skills & ability to work with and influence senior leaders and peers. You will need to understand leading without authority, mentoring and coaching. What You Must Have Experience In 10+ years in software development. 2+ years in an architecture focussed role for a mid-size or larger organization. Running an architecture process with five or more engineering teams. Working with cloud technologies. AWS is great, but Azure and GCP are fine. What You're Good At You understand all aspects of software development. Energy, curiosity, and a desire to learn and improve. Finding pragmatic solutions to complex socio-technological problems. Qualities About You That Might Make Our Decision Easier Knowledge of architecture processes such as TOGAF. In particular, where they can help and where they won't. Experience in Contact Center (CCaaS) and/or Unified Communications (UCaaS) environments. Bringing knowledge of micro-services, async communication, distributed systems development, and non-functional requirements. Seeing the bigger picture and grasping the full scope of the business.
