Your role as a Technical Engineer will involve working on appropriate level infrastructure tasks and tickets in the queue to plan, implement, and support virtual infrastructures. It is essential to stay current with emerging technologies related to your respective technology domain to ensure FANATICAL results during Sales to Support transition. Your excellent problem-solving abilities and desire to take on responsibility will be key in delivering a great first impression Fanatical Support experience to customers while setting the correct expectations. Additionally, you should have the ability to lead the VMware team in the absence of an immediate frontline manager. Key Responsibilities: - Exercise good judgment in decision making to deliver FANATICAL results - Create a great first impression Fanatical Support experience for customers - Lead the VMware team in the absence of an immediate frontline manager - Handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively - Develop internal wikis and procedures for the relevant technology domain - Act as the primary interface between the client and project manager for basic to intermediate projects - Ensure the control, integrity, and accessibility of the VMware environment for the enterprise - Perform regular checks of system components for errors and apply necessary corrective actions Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, or a related field - 4-5+ years of technical engineering and administration experience - Technical customer support experience in a cloud hosting/technology environment - Strong knowledge of ESXi, VCenter, Zerto, SRM - Intermediate knowledge in vSAN, NSX, Windows, and Linux - Basic knowledge of Microsoft platforms and technologies including IIS and SQL Server - Basic operating systems knowledge (Windows and Linux) - Basic network administration skills and working knowledge of fiber channel SANS and NFS Please note that the role may require long periods of sitting, work on non-traditional shifts, and schedule flexibility to include working weekends, evenings, and holidays as required for 24/7 operations.,
