VMC Programmer

The VMC (Vertical Machining Center) Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining VMC machines to produce precision parts and components according to engineering specifications. This role requires a high degree of technical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation:
• Operate VMC machines to perform milling, drilling, and tapping operations.
• Load raw materials into the machine and secure workpieces.
• Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and precision.
• Programming:
• Input and edit machine program settings as required for specific jobs.
• Understand and interpret G-code and M-code programming.
• Quality Control:
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Identify and troubleshoot defects or production issues.
• Maintenance:
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of VMC machines.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Documentation:
• Maintain accurate production records, including job sheets and machine logs.
• Complete inspection reports and maintain quality control documentation.
• Safety:
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
• Ensure a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents and injuries.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational training or certification in CNC machining or a related field is preferred.
• Experience:
• Minimum of [3-10] years of experience operating VMC or CNC machines.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
