VMC Machine Setter/Operator

Job Responsibilities

• Operate Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines as per job order.
• Set workpiece, tools, and ensure correct fixture/clamping.
• Run production cycles and monitor machining process.
• Check components using measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.).
• Ensure parts meet drawing and quality standards.
• Maintain cycle time, productivity, and minimize rejections.
• Perform daily machine cleaning and basic maintenance.
• Follow all safety and quality guidelines.
• Maintain production records and report issues to supervisor.

Requirements

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or relevant trade.
• 2–4 years of experience in VMC machine operation.
• Knowledge of CNC controls (Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi).
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring instruments.
• Willingness to work in shifts.
