You'll leverage your expertise to navigate the changing market and develop long-term, strategic relationships with key buyers, ensuring successful Carbon Offset & IREC transactions that contribute to a cleaner future. Roles & Responsibilities Who You Are • A proven leader with 10+ years of experience in the carbon market, with a deep understanding of various emissions reduction instruments, including carbon offsets, IRECs, and others. • A recognized expert on the Carbon market, Sustainability & GHG Emissions, with experience in public speaking or industry publications (a plus). • Extensive experience in trading various emissions reduction instruments, with a thorough understanding. of market dynamics and the ability to identify and capitalise on profitable opportunities. • A skilled negotiator with a proven track record of securing the best possible deals for clients across different carbon instruments. • A strong understanding of client portfolio management, considering specific needs, risk tolerance, and emissions reduction goals. • Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex market dynamics and environmental benefits of various instruments to diverse audiences, including senior executives. • A well-established network within the carbon market and sustainability community (a plus). • Proven ability to develop and implement strategies to acquire new clients and expand market reach for various emissions reduction instruments. • A passion for sustainability and a strong desire to contribute to a cleaner future. What You'll Do • Lead the emission trading vertical, ensuring exceptional client service and successful trade execution. across various instruments. • Analyze market trends, identify profitable trading opportunities, and provide strategic guidance to your team. • Negotiate and execute trades to secure the best possible prices for clients across different carbon instruments. • Manage client portfolios, considering specific needs, risk tolerance, and emissions reduction goals, and ensure they meet their sustainability objectives. • Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance with all relevant emissions trading regulations. • Develop and deliver presentations on various emissions reduction instruments and their environmental benefits to potential and existing clients. • Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the global carbon market and emerging emissions reduction instruments. • Evaluate and explain the environmental benefits of various emissions reduction instruments and renewable energy sources to clients. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, environmental science, or a related field (or equivalent expertise). • In-depth knowledge of the global carbon market and various emissions reduction instruments. • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to tailor presentations to diverse audiences. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and financial modeling tools. • The ability to work independently and as part of a team. • A strong work ethic and a commitment to deadlines. • Experience in B2B sales (preferred).
