Role & responsibilities

The Manager of Visual Merchandising will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative and impactful visual merchandising strategies across all Jaquar Group retail touchpoints, including showrooms, experience centers, and dealer displays. This role requires a creative and strategic individual with a strong understanding of luxury and premium brand aesthetics, retail design principles, and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have a background in design (e.g., product design, retail design, interior design) and experience specifically within the retail, interiors, or hospitality interior sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Concept Development:
• Conceptualize and design compelling product displays, window displays, and in-store visual narratives that enhance customer experience and drive engagement.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and global best practices in visual merchandising, retail design, and experiential marketing.
• Translate marketing campaigns and product launches into visually impactful in-store experiences.
• Design & Aesthetics:
• Utilize design expertise to create aesthetically pleasing and functional displays that highlight product features and benefits.
• Select and procure appropriate props, fixtures, lighting, and other visual elements to enhance displays.
• Ensure all visual elements adhere to brand guidelines for color, typography, imagery, and overall look and feel.

• Possess a strong understanding of lighting design and its impact on product presentation.
• Budget Management:
• Manage the visual merchandising budget effectively, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost-efficient solutions.
• Reporting & Analysis:
• Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of visual merchandising initiatives through sales data and customer feedback.
• Prepare reports on visual merchandising performance and propose improvements.

Key Competencies

• Exceptional creative vision and artistic flair with a strong understanding of design principles and color theory.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving attitude and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Willingness to travel frequently for store visits and new store openings.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: B. Arch with additional specialization in Retail Design, Interior Design

• Experience:

Minimum of 8-14 years of progressive experience in visual merchandising, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.

• Strong preference for candidates with experience in retail design, interior design, or hospitality interior design, showcasing an understanding of spatial planning, material selection, and high-end aesthetics.

• Proven experience working with premium or luxury brands, ideally in the home dcor, bath fittings, kitchen, or lifestyle sectors.
• Demonstrated portfolio showcasing successful visual merchandising projects and creative design solutions.
