Visual Designer

Mecha builds computers, firmware and cloud software for building applications in the real world. These computers are programmable, powered primarily by open-source software and ensuring they are repairable, multi-purpose and long-lasting. Our customers include K-12 students, hobbyists, creators and engineers. Our enterprise offerings target OEMs, ISVs in the IoT, Industrial Automation and Robotics.

As a Visual Designer at Mecha Systems, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our product's visual identity across digital and physical touchpoints. You'll work on creating compelling user interfaces for our hardware products, develop packaging designs, work on product launch and contribute to our brand communication efforts.

We are looking for either full-time or interns that can later convert to full-time post internship.

Responsibilities

• Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for hardware products in collaboration with other designers in the team
• Design and create packaging for our hardware projects
• Design brand communication across online (socials) and offline channels (events, product launches)
• Collaborate across all design efforts including UI, Website, Packaging, Social Media and Brand Communication
• Contribute to design systems and language maintained across the company

Requirements

• Min 0-2 years of experience in design, freshers can apply

• Bachelors or masters degree in Arts or Design

• Portfolio demonstrating Visual Design projects

• Knowledge and some experience with design systems and component libraries
• Strong aesthetic sense and creativity
• Proficiency in tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Figma or similar tools

• Content writing skills
• Motion design and animation
• Video editing skills
