Role & responsibilities

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities: • Design, develop and support electronic and electro-mechanical features of products within the Controls Group utilizing

Electrical Engineering skills. • Ability to understand electrical diagrams like schematics, Electrical Harness diagrams, line diagrams etc. • Computer aided design tools such as Altium and CodeWarrior, create and test electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical

models, and provide support to manufacturing.

• Familiarity with Controls & Actuator design codes and certifications and can create product designs which comply to

these standards. Thorough understanding of Controls product manufacturing requirements, product packaging, and

product documentation. Maintains a thorough understanding of industry standards and trends as they apply to Controls

products and Connectivity technology.

Core Competencies:

• Experience with AC/DC motor control design and AC/DC, DC-DC power supply design desired.
• Experience in Industrial controls actuator/Valve product design is preferred.
• Experience in sensor design for IoT applications is preferred.
• Experience in electronic circuit design, both digital and analog, incorporating embedded microcontrollers, high voltage

and current designs. Thermal analysis, load analysis, simulations, power budget and error calculations.

• Demonstrated expertise with PCB design tools; OrCAD, Altium Designer, and Freescale, ST, Infineon controllers.
• Knowledge of the following computer languages preferred: C,” “C++,” “.NET”, assembly code.
• Experience in Industrial protocols Modbus, ProfiBus, Ethernet IP etc and interfaces USB, I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet.
• Experience with following a product development process and design validation and verification. • Experience performing and witnessing the environmental tests like EMI, EMC, Vibration, Temperature Cycle. Etc. • Experience using general lab test equipment’s like, oscilloscope, multimeters, signal generators, Network analyzer. • Experience in testing and debugging the circuit assemblies.
