Job Summary

CMR University is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Videographer to capture high-quality videos and photographs that support the university’s branding, marketing, and communication efforts. This role involves visual storytelling, documenting campus life, and producing regular content for digital platforms. The ideal candidate should be organised, adaptable, and comfortable working in a dynamic creative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Should be able to stick to the assigned scripts with shot breakdowns and deliver high quality visuals
• Should be able to network and build a great rapport with the campus staff and students to create a healthy working environment
• Capture short videos and photographs of university events, campus life, and student/faculty interactions.
• Plan and shoot specific curated content for social media platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
• Stay up to date with visual trends and proactively suggest content ideas.
• Ensure high-quality, well-composed visuals across all outputs.
• Cover university events and provide raw footage and images to the editing team promptly.
• Operate and maintain cameras, lenses, lighting equipment, and related gear.
• Coordinate with internal departments to understand coverage requirements and support content planning.
• Collaborate closely with the Video Editor and Creative Team to ensure timely and consistent execution of projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication, Mass Communication, Film and Television Production, Media Studies, or Fine Arts (Photography/Filmmaking), Diploma in Cinematography, Digital Filmmaking, or Photography or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in videography and photography.
• Proficient in using DSLR or mirrorless cameras and familiar with basic audio and lighting setups.
• Sound knowledge of camera operation, lighting and sound setups, composition and framing, storyboarding, and content planning for digital platforms.
• Strong sense of composition and the ability to capture real-time content effectively.
• Highly organised, punctual, and proactive in approach.
• A portfolio showcasing both video and photography work is mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
