As a Video Editor at Give Me Trees Trust, you will be an integral part of our creative team, contributing to the production of high-quality video content for various platforms, with a primary focus on social media. You will have the opportunity to showcase your storytelling skills, visual aesthetics, and editing expertise to bring impactful ideas to life. Your responsibilities will include editing engaging videos tailored for social media platforms by enhancing storytelling through the addition of graphics, animations, subtitles, and effects. You will collaborate closely with the content, marketing, and design teams to ensure alignment with brand guidelines and repurpose long-form content into shorter clips. Staying up-to-date with social media trends and platform updates will be essential as you organize and maintain video assets while managing multiple projects to ensure timely delivery of content. To excel in this role, you should possess at least 2 years of professional video editing experience and demonstrate advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro. Experience in editing vertical and square videos for mobile/social media, along with a strong understanding of pacing, transitions, and storytelling, will be crucial. The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, basic audio editing and color correction skills, and a robust portfolio showcasing your work across various formats are key qualifications we are looking for. Preferred qualifications include experience in motion graphics and animation, basic knowledge of graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Canva, and a background in working within a content-driven environment.
