Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Video Editor with expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Canva, and design skills, along with experience using AI tools to enhance video production. The ideal candidate will create visually compelling videos that align with the Pillai Centers mission to inspire and educate. You will collaborate with our content creators, marketers, and spiritual educators in our office to produce professional videos for online courses, social media, and promotional campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

• Video Editing:

  Edit raw footage into polished videos using Adobe Premiere Pro, ensuring seamless transitions, audio sync, and high-quality output for various platforms (YouTube, social media, website, etc.).

• Graphic Design:

  Create and integrate graphics, thumbnails, and visual elements using Adobe Photoshop and Canva to enhance video content and align with brand aesthetics.

• AI Tool Integration:

  Utilize AI-powered tools (e.g., Freepik, Filmora, Runway, Descript, or similar) for tasks like automated editing, audio enhancement, text-to-speech, or visual effects to streamline workflows and improve production quality.

• Content Creation:

  Collaborate with the content team to develop video concepts, storyboards, and scripts that align with the Pillai Centers spiritual and educational messaging.

• Branding Consistency:

  Ensure all videos adhere to Pillai Centers brand guidelines, including style, tone, and visual identity.

• Optimization:

  Tailor videos for different platforms, ensuring optimal resolution, aspect ratios, and engagement (e.g., short-form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, or long-form for YouTube).

• File Management:

  Organize and maintain video assets, project files, and archives for efficient access and future use.

• Feedback Incorporation:

  Revise and refine video drafts based on feedback from team members and stakeholders to meet project goals.

• Stay Updated:

  Keep abreast of the latest trends in video editing, AI tools, and design to bring innovative ideas to the team.

Qualifications

• Experience:

• 3+ years of professional video editing experience, preferably in a spiritual, educational, or wellness-focused organization.
• Proven expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro for advanced video editing.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Canva for creating graphics, thumbnails, and visual assets.
• Experience with AI tools for video production (e.g., Runway, Descript, Adobe, Freepik, HeyGen, Sensei, or similar) is a plus.

• Skills:

• Excellent understanding of video storytelling, pacing, and visual composition.
• Strong design sense with an eye for color, typography, and branding.
• Ability to work with audio editing, color grading, and motion graphics.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and video optimization techniques.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.

• Education:

  Bachelors degree in Film, Media, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

• Soft Skills:

• Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and spiritual content.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Adaptable and open to learning new tools and techniques.
• Comfortable working with office-based equipment.

• Communication:

• Fluent in English (both written and verbal) to effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and global audiences.
• Ability to articulate creative ideas clearly and provide constructive feedback during collaborative discussions.
