As a Film and Video Editor, your role will involve manipulating and editing film pieces, reviewing shooting scripts, creating shot decision lists, trimming footage segments, inputting music and effects, creating rough and final cuts, ensuring logical sequencing, and consulting with stakeholders throughout the production process. Your key responsibilities will include: - Manipulating and editing film pieces to create seamless transitions for the audience - Understanding production team's needs and specifications based on briefs - Reviewing shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list - Trimming footage segments and compiling the sequence of the film - Incorporating music, dialogues, graphics, and effects into the editing process - Creating rough and final cuts ensuring smooth running and logical sequencing - Staying updated on new editing technologies and industry best practices - Collaborating with stakeholders from production to post-production process Qualifications required for this role are: - Minimum 6 months of work experience as a Video Editor - Proficiency in digital technology and editing software packages such as Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects, and Final Cut - Demonstrable video editing skills with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work - Comprehensive understanding of timing, motivation, and continuity in editing - Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing - Creative mindset with storytelling abilities - Bachelor's degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field,
