Video Codec Performance Engineer

Qualcomm India Private Limited is looking for a Systems Engineer with expertise in video coding standards such as VVC, AV1, HEVC, H.264/AVC, VP9. As a member of the video IP performance team, you will be responsible for video IP performance modeling, integration with other IPs into an SOC system, and interacting with various teams including design, verification, system, firmware, software, SOC, and power teams. Your role will involve video hardware IP performance review and signoff, as well as correlating performance KPI numbers during different signoff stages. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with at least 2 years of Systems Engineering experience. Alternatively, a Master's degree with 1+ year of Systems Engineering experience or a PhD in a related field will also be considered. Key qualifications for this role include hands-on knowledge and experience in Video Codec Design and implementation, solid programming skills in C\C++ and SystemC, along with a strong understanding of encoder algorithms and decoder flow. Additionally, you should possess good analytical, problem-solving skills, and strong communication skills. Preferred qualifications include experience in Video Codec system modeling, TLM modeling, video code hardware performance modeling, SOC performance modeling, DDR subsystem, NOC, on-chip cache, and system cache modeling or design experience.
