Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  1. Improvement of academic standard of the school
  2. Performing assigned teaching work
  3. Planning & conduct of academic programs such as orientation courses, seminars, in-service and other training programs organized by agencies such as National Council of Educational Research and Training, the State Institute of Education and other State level institutions. Also conduct Teachers Olympiad and Exhibition.
  4. Admissions of students and maintenance of discipline in the school
  5. Organization and supervision of the curricular and co-curricular activities and maintenance of school record
  6. Observance of the provisions of rules, regulations, the Secondary Schools Code and other orders issued by Government or the Director from time to time in respect of academic matters.
  7. Supervision and conduct of the examinations including the examinations conducted by the Government, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education and the Directorate and the work of internal assessment and such other work pertaining to the examinations as assigned.
  8. Assessing work of Assistant teachers and other staff and maintenance of service books of the employees of the school
  9. Monitor and assign teachers worksheets.
  10. Preparing calendar activities for the Academics, Sports Calendar, District sports etc.
  11. Preparing Annual budget
  12. Target school admissions and one- time fee collection.
  13. Any other work relating to organization and improvement of the school as may be assigned to him by the Trust from time to time.
  14. Maintenance of accounts and Financial Discipline.
  15. Management of the school library, laboratories, hostel for students exclusively from the school of which he is the Head
  16. Correspondence relating to the administration of the school
  17. Observance of the provisions of rules, regulations, the Secondary Schools Code and other orders issued by Government or the Director from time to time and instructions issued by the Management from time to time, in respect of the administration of the school
  18. Any other work relating to the administration of the school as may be assigned to him by the Department, Director or the Management from time to time.
  19. In addition to the above roles and responsibilities, you shall also endeavour to maintain, achieve and perform the following duties:

  20. Maintaining the present strength of the students and put efforts to increase/enhance strength by encouraging parents/students to take admission and by improving the quality of education.
  21. Student who have paid fees to be admitted and given books, and uniform etc.
  22. To ensure proper compliance with the provisions of Right to Education Act. Only eligible students be admitted through RTE category.
  23. Establishing, implementing and supervising ERP system in the School.
  24. Scheduling the workload of Teachers / assigning classes.
  25. Any meetings with parents shall be conducted after due permission of trustees and with proper agenda duly intimated to and approved by the Trustees. Minutes of such meetings shall be shared/forwarded to the Board of Trustees of Vikas Charitable Trust
  26. Endeavour shall be made to have a Daily briefing meeting with the Board of Trustees at 9.30 am every working day or with any person duly authorised by the Board of Trustees and a meeting once in a week for briefing/ regular updates and discussions regarding tasks/events for upcoming weeks.
  27. Ensuring that Parent-Teacher Association [PTA] registers, minutes of the meetings, and recordings shall be maintained including video recording.
  28. Students should not be taken for picnic without Insurance, A parent, A teacher, Emergency kit, consent of parents, and permission of the trustees. Clearance from management and Affidavit from parents that the school will not be held responsible for children.
  29. This position has no authority to decide what fees to charge or what instalments to hive and it is solely the Trusts responsibility. Also, you shall not be allowed to decide and collect money for various competitions by using any personal accounts and directly charging parents.
  30. This financial activity shall be done only by the trust which needs to be informed to the trust well in advance like, all competitions that need entrance fees, with dates, all competitions that needs funding from the trust.
  31. A detail plan of these activities shall be provided to the trustee at beginning of the year.
  32. Training of Teachers and appointment of teachers.
  33. Assist the Trust in CBSE affiliation work.
