Vice President, Solution Architect

As a Solutions Architect at BNY, you will play a crucial role in developing well-designed, testable, and efficient code for both frontend and backend systems using primarily Java and Angular tech stack. Your responsibilities will include integrating software components into fully functional systems while prioritizing security and privacy principles. Additionally, you will drive the adoption of best practices around engineering metrics and AI enablement to enhance developer productivity. As part of your role, you will also mentor and evangelize AI/ML best practices across the organization to contribute to the company's technological advancement. Key Responsibilities: - Develop well-designed, testable, efficient code for frontend and backend systems using Java and Angular tech stack - Integrate software components into fully functional systems with a focus on security and privacy principles - Drive adoption of best practices around engineering metrics and AI enablement for developer productivity - Mentor and advocate AI/ML best practices across the organization - Research and implement architecture designs and patterns to enhance the company's competitive advantage - Strategize and contribute to enterprise-level technological initiatives on architecture and design - Define solution architecture for domain-specific initiatives - Lead research, definition, and implementation of architecture governance and design disciplines for business solutions - Define and promote common architecture designs, methodology, standards, and practices across the enterprise - Drive value from the company's data asset and provide enterprise data architecture planning, design, and deployment in business solutions - Contribute to achieving multiple teams" objectives Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience - Advanced degree preferred - 12+ years of experience in software development, technology, and architecture roles - Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus - Ability to manage and forecast operating budget within the approved plan - Strong interpersonal skills to support mentoring and teamwork - Ability to ensure high-quality delivery of the company's architecture and design services Join BNY and be part of a culture that fosters innovation and growth, where bold ideas meet advanced technology and exceptional talent.
