As a Vice President Senior Senior KDB/Q Developer at Barclays, you will be responsible for building and maintaining systems that collect, store, process, and analyze data. This includes data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes to ensure the accuracy, accessibility, and security of all data. Your role will involve designing and implementing data architectures pipelines that facilitate the transfer and processing of durable, complete, and consistent data. Additionally, you will collaborate with data scientists to develop processing and analysis algorithms suitable for the complexity and volume of data, as well as deploying machine learning models. Successful candidates for this role should possess the following experience: - Proficiency in Q/Kdb+ programming on Linux - Development background in front office/electronic trading systems - Strong knowledge of agile and SDLC processes - Familiarity with Maven, Java, Git, Team City, Jira, and Confluence Furthermore, highly valued skills may include: - A strong academic record with a numerate degree (2:1 or higher) in computer science, maths, physics, or engineering - Full-lifecycle development experience on at least one large commercial system, with a focus on significant development of large distributed Kdb+ systems In this role based in Pune, you will be expected to build, maintain, and secure data systems, ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of data through data pipelines, warehouses, and lakes. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with data scientists to deploy machine learning models and developing algorithms for data processing and analysis.
