Vice Chancellor

As the Vice Chancellor of a Medical University, you will function as the Chief Executive & Academic Head, leading with purpose, vision, and heart. Your responsibilities will include overseeing academics & research excellence, financial and people leadership, student experience, success & well-being, and global partnerships to ensure the university thrives in a dynamic, future-ready environment. Your key duties and accountabilities will involve: - Strategic Academic Leadership - Leading the strategy, vision, and direction of the university to align with global standards and emerging trends in education and healthcare. - Driving continuous improvement of curriculum design, pedagogy, and assessment based on learning outcomes, technological advancement, and industry needs. - Research and Innovation Development - Building a vibrant research culture by supporting faculty and students in scholarly activities, publishing, and securing research funding. - Strengthening institutional frameworks and administrative systems to facilitate cutting-edge research and seamless academic operations. - Institutional Governance and Compliance - Ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and accreditation requirements (UGC, NMC, MCI, etc.). - Overseeing the functioning of statutory bodies such as the Academic Council, Finance Committee, and Board of Management with a focus on governance, transparency, and accountability. - External Engagement and Representation - Representing the university at national and international platforms to build visibility and reputation. - Establishing partnerships with academic institutions, healthcare providers, research bodies, and industries to support student internships, placements, and knowledge exchange. - Student Success - Championing student welfare, mentoring, career readiness, and holistic development. - Creating a safe, inclusive, and intellectually stimulating campus environment. Qualifications required for this role include: - A distinguished academician with teaching experience in a reputed institution within a private university system. - A medical Doctor or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from a premier institution with experience in academic education, research, curriculum development, and administration. - Minimum 10+ years of experience as a professor or equivalent positions held in a university system or reputed research or academic administrative organizations. - Proven expertise in steering institutions towards top NIRF rankings / NAAC accreditations. - Significant leadership experience in developing and executing a strategic vision, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to advance the institution's reputation. - An inspirational leader with intellectual breadth, strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated expertise in research-driven programs and policies, experience in developing partnerships, and success in leading diverse, complex teams and organizations.,
