Job Title: Veterinary Doctor

Educational Qualification:

• Master of Veterinary Science (MVSc) in Medicine or Surgery
  

Experience Required:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in the treatment and care of companion or community animals
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Medical Oversight:

1. Perform advanced diagnostics, medical treatments, and surgical procedures
2. Design customized health and wellness plans, particularly for aging and senior dogs, with a strong focus on preventive care
   

• Training & Development:

1. Mentor and guide Assistant Veterinary Doctors, veterinary nurses, and animal handlers
2. Develop and implement structured training programs to ensure continuous learning and adherence to best veterinary practices
   

• Emergency Response Management:

1. Take lead in handling urgent and emergency medical cases such as trauma, poisoning, and infectious disease outbreaks
2. Ensure the medical facility is adequately prepared and equipped to manage critical situations
   

• Equipment Proficiency:

1. Operate and interpret results from diagnostic equipment such as X-ray, ultrasound, and laboratory analyzers (physiology and biochemistry)
   

• Medical Leadership:

1. Oversee the overall veterinary care protocols within the shelter and ensure high standards of animal health and welfare
