Key Responsibilities:-

• Plan, manage, and oversee vehicle hiring from local and inter-state transport markets.
  
• Lead freight rate negotiations with transporters, fleet owners, and vendors to ensure cost optimization.
  
• Review, analyze, and approve transport quotations; ensure rate competitiveness and transparency.
  
• Ensure timely vehicle placement as per dispatch schedules and business requirements.
  
• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with transporters and logistics partners.
  
• Monitor daily transportation operations to ensure on-time dispatch and delivery performance.
  
• Control transportation costs through effective planning, vendor benchmarking, and market analysis.
  
• Handle escalation issues related to vehicle availability, delays, or operational challenges.
  
• Maintain accurate records, MIS, and reports related to transport operations and vendor performance.
  
• Coordinate with internal teams (warehouse, operations, planning) for seamless logistics execution.
  
• Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and statutory transportation requirements.
  

What Were Looking For:-

• Experience:

  3 to 8 years in transport operations, vehicle hiring, or logistics management.
• Graduate preferred (12th pass with strong relevant experience may be considered).
  
• Proven experience in handling transport vendors and rate negotiations at scale.
  
• Strong understanding of vehicle types, routes, and prevailing market freight rates.
  
• Leadership capability to manage vendors and guide junior transport staff.
  
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple dispatches and deadlines.
  
• Working knowledge of

  MS Excel, MIS reporting, and transport documentation
