Vegetable Purchaser

Job Location : Nasik / Raikotte

Job Summary:

The Vegetable Purchaser will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and coordinating.

Key Responsibilities:

* Source and procure a wide range of fresh vegetables based on seasonal availability and company needs.

* Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms with vendors and growers.

* Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery.

* Monitor market trends, weather conditions, and crop forecasts to make informed purchasing decisions.

* Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure proper handling and storage of vegetables.

* Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.

* Identify and onboard new suppliers as needed to ensure a diversified and reliable supply chain.

Qualifications:

* Experience in produce or food purchasing (preferably fresh vegetables).

* Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

* Solid understanding of vegetable varieties, seasonality, and quality standards.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.

* Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Excel.

* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
