Valuation Specialist

Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional with 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in valuation and investment banking to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge, strong team leading qualities, and excellent client management capabilities.

You will be a core member of our advisory team, contributing to high-impact valuation assignments, M&A transactions, strategic decision support, and financial due diligence for clients across diverse sectors.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Business & Intangible Asset Valuations:

Independently lead and support complex valuation engagements, including enterprise valuations, purchase price allocations, and impairment testing, using globally accepted approaches (Income, Market, Cost/Asset).

Financial Modelling & Analysis:

Build, review, and refine detailed financial models for business valuations, investment analysis, and transaction structuring. Apply sound judgment in interpreting financial results and projecting performance.

Research & Insight Generation:

Conduct deep-dive industry, company, and market research to support valuations and strategic recommendations. Translate data into actionable insights.

Report Writing & Client Deliverables:

Prepare clear, concise, and insightful valuation reports, and client proposal presentations.

Transaction Support:

Support buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, including due diligence, target screening, deal structuring analysis, and input on key commercial drivers and risks.

Stakeholder Management:

Engage with clients, auditors, and internal teams. Confidently present findings and defend valuation assumptions as needed.

Team Development:

Mentor and guide junior analysts and associates. Promote knowledge sharing and uphold a high standard of analytical and professional excellence.

Key Competencies:

Excel

oStrong understanding of valuation standards and accounting frameworks (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP)

oProficient in preparing professional-grade reports, presentations, and financial schedules

Capital IQ, S&P Capitaline, Tracxn

oStrong communication skills with the ability to present and articulate insights clearly

oCommercial mindset and ability to identify key business drivers, risks, and opportunities

Preferred Background:

CA

oPrior experience in a valuation advisory firm, boutique investment bank, or corporate development/ M&A role

oExposure to domestic as well as foreign transactions in multiple sectors such as Technology, Healthcare, Financial Services, Industrials, Real Estate, or Consumer & Retail.
