Job
Description
As a Validation and Verification Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and manufacturability of our Power Supplies, LED Lights, LED Displays, and Embedded Systems. Your responsibilities will include verifying PCB layout compliance, validating Bill of Materials (BoM), conducting performance and reliability testing, and facilitating a smooth transition from prototype to mass production. You will be responsible for verifying PCB layout adherence to design guidelines, EMI/EMC considerations, and thermal constraints. Additionally, you will ensure BoM accuracy by verifying component specifications, assessing sourcing feasibility, and identifying alternatives for critical components. In terms of performance testing, you will conduct electrical and thermal tests for Switched-Mode Power Supplies (SMPS), LED drivers, LED displays, and embedded systems. This involves validating input/output parameters, efficiency, surge protection, and voltage regulation across different operational conditions. Collaboration with the R&D team to debug and optimize designs will also be part of your responsibilities. Your role will also involve conducting reliability tests such as environmental stress tests, burn-in tests, and accelerated life tests to assess product durability. Ensuring compliance with industry standards such as BIS, IEC, and ISO is essential. Identifying potential failure points and implementing design improvements will be key areas of focus. During pilot runs and production validation, you will oversee production runs to confirm manufacturability and process stability. Collaboration with production teams to meet Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles will be crucial. Resolution of any yield or quality issues before mass production will also be part of your responsibilities. To qualify for this role, you should hold a B.E/B.Tech degree in Electronics, Electrical, or a related field and possess 6-7 years of experience in validation and verification of power electronics, LED lighting, or embedded systems. Hands-on experience with testing equipment like Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Load Testers, and EMI/EMC Testing Equipment is required. Strong knowledge of SMPS, LED drivers, power electronics, and embedded system testing is essential, along with familiarity with industry standards such as BIS, IEC, EN, and UL. Cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Quality, and Production teams, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are key attributes for success in this role. Preferred qualifications include experience in automated test setups for power electronics validation, knowledge of failure analysis methods, and prior experience with power supply, LED drivers, or IoT-based embedded systems.
