Job Title: Purchase Manager – Fire Protection & Detection Systems Location: Pune Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Purchase Manager with in-depth expertise in Fire Protection and Detection Systems . The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end procurement of fire safety equipment and components, ensuring timely sourcing of quality materials that meet industry standards and project specifications. The role demands strong vendor management, negotiation skills, and technical knowledge of fire safety products and systems. Key Responsibilities: Develop, manage, and implement procurement strategies specific to fire protection and detection projects. Source, evaluate, and maintain a network of reliable vendors and OEMs for: Fire Alarm Systems (panels, detectors, modules) Fire Suppression Systems (gas-based, water mist, clean agent, etc.) Hydrant and Sprinkler Systems (pipes, valves, fittings, pumps) Fire Extinguishers and Accessories Cables, Hooters, MCPs, and other electrical/electronic detection components Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, payment terms, and warranty conditions. Analyze technical data and specifications to ensure compatibility with project BOQs. Ensure compliance with industry standards (IS, UL/FM, NFPA, BIS) and obtain necessary test certificates and approvals. Coordinate with Design, Projects, and Quality departments for material approvals and inspections. Maintain optimum inventory levels and monitor reorder points. Monitor procurement schedules for multiple projects and ensure on-time delivery. Manage documentation: RFQs, purchase orders, comparative statements, contracts, and vendor performance logs. Identify cost-saving opportunities and introduce process improvements. Qualifications: Minimum 5–10 years of procurement experience , with at least 3 years in the fire protection & detection systems industry .
