UX/UI Designer

As a member of our product team, you will collaborate with developers, designers, and a design systems manager to create a companywide Web Component based library and design system that will be utilized by a global suite of digital products. Your role will involve supporting the adoption of the component library, offering guidance to other designers, sharing best practices, and ensuring the functionality of components both now and in the future. Key Responsibilities: - Apply a product-driven approach to work and align the team's backlog with the design system's roadmap goals. - Design new visual components and enhance existing ones based on the design system's backlog needs. - Collaborate with the design system team to maintain visual and interaction design consistency across SKF, from Figma designs to coded web components. - Document component and interaction pattern decisions, and create user-friendly documentation within the design system hub. - Stay informed about emerging trends and continuously expand your knowledge. - Collaborate closely with other designers, developers, and product teams to ensure the design system evolves organically and remains relevant. Required Qualifications: - Design education or employed experience of 4+ years (excluding internships). - Ability to drive alignment and progress within a diverse design community. - Proficiency in Figma. - Familiarity with Zero Height or similar tools. - Comfortable providing assistance and demonstrations to designers from various teams. - Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in building a product community of designers and developers. - Experience working in international or European companies. - Understanding of coding/front-end development is a bonus.
