UX Designer II

As a senior designer at Microsoft, you will play a crucial role in creating the next generation of experiences for millions of customers. You will be part of the Windows and Devices UX team at studio+91, where you will work on designing engaging Windows experiences that impact the way people work, live, and learn. Your responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with fellow designers, research, product, and engineering teams to define and create relevant, intuitive, and beautiful experiences that customers love. - Conceptualizing and designing original ideas that bring simplicity and ease of use to complex design issues, demonstrating both conceptual thinking and craftsmanship. - Championing AI-first thinking and delivering design solutions that leverage AI to simplify complexity, personalize experiences, and delight users. - Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ship high-quality experiences in an agile environment, communicating and articulating design solutions effectively across disciplines. - Coordinating testing efforts with user researchers, interpreting test results, and incorporating them into design efforts. - Contributing to foundational research, leveraging existing design systems and guidelines, and participating in broader Design team creative processes and team building. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Graphic Design, Product Design, Visual Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field AND 2+ years of experience in product or service design and/or shipping production code, or equivalent experience. - A portfolio demonstrating strong interaction + visual design and prototyping skills. - Proficiency in translating research insights into intuitive product experiences and solid command of all aspects and levels of interaction/UX design. - Experience in creatively solving complex design issues across multidisciplinary groups and shipping relevant experiences within deadlines. - User-centric approach to design, experience in data-driven decision-making, and outstanding storytelling ability to generate empathy. - Mastery in modern design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC) and a willingness to adopt new tools, processes, and workflows. - Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow designers and partners in Research, Product Management, and Engineering, highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented. Preferred Qualifications: - A minimum of 4+ years of professional experience in product and/or interaction design.
