User Interface Designer

Role Overview: You will be a part of SAN Automotive's new AI product initiative, responsible for owning the end-to-end design process, including crafting the mobile app UX/UI, building the marketing website, and creating the brand identity. Your role will involve translating a Scope of Work into a design roadmap, building a Design System v1 in Figma, creating the brand identity, designing & building the website, and presenting your work to founders/stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Translate a Scope of Work into a design roadmap with flows, milestones, and acceptance criteria. - Build a Design System v1 in Figma with components, variants, tokens, and create a clickable prototype with micro-interactions. - Create the brand identity including logo, color system, typography, iconography, and imagery style. - Design & build the website (marketing/landing) in a no-code web tool, set up basic analytics and forms. - Present your work clearly to founders/stakeholders and partner with engineering for pixel-faithful handoff and QA. Qualifications Required: - Strong command of UI/UX tools and fundamentals such as layout, hierarchy, spacing, grids, color blending, contrast/accessibility, and typography. - Proficiency in Figma with skills in Auto Layout, Variants, Variables/Tokens, Interactive Components, Libraries, and Inspect, along with good presentation skills. - Ability to design and build a responsive website using appropriate tools and craft a logo/brand system from scratch. - A portfolio showcasing end-to-end thinking and design taste, including student/self-initiated projects.
