User Experience Designer

As a User Experience Designer at Assurant-GCC in India, you will be responsible for creating and implementing designs that enhance human-computer interactions. Your primary goal will be to ensure that these designs are intuitive, accessible, adaptive, consistent, and relevant to the task at hand. Your duties will include translating optimal functionality requirements of products into interactive and visually creative solutions. You will utilize market research and psychology to design human-computer interfaces effectively, ensuring easily navigable content and delivering high-quality visual designs. Additionally, you will actively participate in the software delivery lifecycle processes, conducting market and user research, creating journey maps, wireframes, and interface designs, as well as validating assumptions through usability testing. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction, communications, or relevant professional experience. You are expected to have 5-8 years of experience in UX/UI design, interaction design, or information architecture, along with proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe CS/CC. Experience with ADA accessibility standards, user testing, and front-end technologies like HTML5 and CSS3 is also essential. Communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills are crucial for this role as you will collaborate with various stakeholders, including product owners, developers, and marketing teams. Your ability to conduct design thinking workshops, leverage metrics for decision-making, and advocate for consistency while promoting innovation will be key to your success. Certification in UX, such as NNG or HFI, would be beneficial. In addition to technical skills, you should possess a relentless desire for innovation, a focus on customer needs, and a passion for advocating on behalf of end-users. Your ability to distill complex problems into elegant solutions, tell compelling stories, and drive outcomes through metrics and user-centric design will set you apart in this role.
