Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Prepare
U.S. federal, state, and local income tax returns
for hedge fund partnerships
Handle various
hedge fund structures
: master-feeder, mini-master, and fund-of-funds
Apply complex
hedge fund tax concepts
: wash sales, PFICs, QDI, 1256 contracts, Section 988, constructive sales, and straddles
Calculate
taxable income and partner-level tax allocations
, including aggregate allocations
Ensure compliance with U.S. tax laws and
timely filing
of returns using GoSystem Tax RS
Perform self-review of work for accuracy and maintain
client confidentiality
Collaborate with internal teams, demonstrate multitasking ability, and deliver accurate, timely reports
Proficient use of
Microsoft Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Teams

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
Postgraduate degree or MBA preferred
U.S. CPA
or
IRS Enrolled Agent
preferred
15 years
of experience in hedge fund tax and partnership tax accounting
PTIN
(Preparer Tax Identification Number) is required before joining
