Job Description

As a U.S. Tax Associate, your role involves assisting in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and industries, allowing you to develop a deep technical tax knowledge. Key Responsibilities: - Perform bookkeeping and monthly closing activities. - Prepare financial statements, bank reconciliations, and general ledger reviews. - Utilize US GAAP standards and tools such as QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, etc. - Assist in the preparation and review of US tax returns (Individual 1040, Corporate 1120, Partnership 1065, etc.). - Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with IRS and state tax laws. - Support clients during tax audits and filings. - Work on tax planning strategies under supervision. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Masters in Taxation a plus). - CPA or working toward CPA certification preferred. - Minimum of 2 years of relevant tax or accounting experience (internships count). - Strong knowledge of U.S. tax code and reporting requirements. - Proficiency in tax software (e.g., GoSystem, CCH Axcess, UltraTax, or similar). - Excellent communication and analytical skills. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
