US Tax Accountant(1040, 1120S, 1065 must have)

About the Role

As a US Tax Accountant , you will focus on preparing US tax returns and supporting book closings with accuracy and timeliness. You will work with US-based reviewers and team members, gaining exposure to US tax standards and technology tools. This is a production-focused role with opportunities for advancement based on performance.

This role involves preparing US tax returns and supporting various accounting functions while collaborating with a team to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare US tax returns: 1040 (primary), 1120, 1120S, 1065
• Support monthly/quarterly/annual book close and reconciliations.
• Maintain workpapers/checklists, follow SOPs, meet turnaround timelines.
• Collaborate with internal reviewers via Microsoft Teams; uphold data security and quality.
• Contribute to process improvement and efficiency initiatives as part of a growing India team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting/Commerce (B.Com/M.Com) or equivalent; CA/Inter CA preferred (not required).
• 4–7 years in accounting/tax; US tax exposure is a must
• Strong technical and analytical skills; attention to detail.
• Proficient in Excel & Microsoft Office; QuickBooks (or similar) is an advantage.
• Familiarity with CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Planner, BNA, or PPC software is a plus.
• Excellent written English and ability to communicate clearly with US colleagues.
