Role Overview

Oracle EBS Finance Consultant

Key Responsibilities

Functional Expertise Oracle EBS Finance (R12)

2-4 modules

• General Ledger (GL)
  
• Accounts Payable (AP)
  
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
  
• Fixed Assets (FA)
  
• Cash Management (CE)
  
• Project Accounting (PA) optional
  
• iExpense / iProc preferred
  

Implementation & Upgrade Activities

• Lead/participate in

  end-to-end Oracle EBS R12 implementations

  .
• Conduct

  requirement-gathering

  , fit-gap analysis, and solution design.
• Configure modules, setups, and business rules as per client requirements.
  
• Prepare BRD, MD50/MD70 documents, and functional specifications.
  

Support & Enhancement Activities

• Handle L2/L3 support tickets, identify root causes, and provide resolutions.
  
• Work on enhancements, rollout activities, and new business requirements.
  
• Coordinate with technical teams for customizations, interfaces, and reports.
  

Testing & Data Activities

• Prepare and execute test scenarios for

  SIT, UAT

  , and regression.
• Work on data uploads using

  Web ADI/FBDI

  (where applicable).
• Validate financial data migration and month-end close processes.
  

Client Management & Advisory

• Conduct user training, knowledge transfer, and documentation sessions.
  
• Provide process optimization suggestions, best practices, and compliance guidance.
  
• Communicate status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 4- 12 years

  of hands-on experience in Oracle EBS Finance (R12).
• Strong functional knowledge of financial processes:
  
• Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
  
• Order-to-Cash (O2C)
  
• Record-to-Report (R2R)
  
• Experience in

  at least 1-2 full lifecycle implementations

  of EBS R12.
• Strong understanding of AIM/OUM methodologies.
  
• Experience working with

  SQL

  , reports (BI Publisher), and integrations is preferred.
• Ability to map business processes to Oracle configurations.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• CA / CMA / MBA Finance / B.Com / M.Com.
  
• Oracle EBS R12 Financials certification.
  
• Consulting experience (Big 4 or IT consulting).
  
• Experience with 12.2.x upgrades is a plus.
