Role & responsibilities Nurse Educator at Fortis Hiranandani Hospital , Vashi Navi Mumbai. Internal: All Nurse leaders, Staff Nurses, HR (Training) External: Training Sponsors (vendors), Colleges/University, Professional Body(s) Main Objective of the Role Responsible for ongoing training & developmental activities and continuing education of staff in the department. Officiates in absence of Team Leader. Needs approval Identification of individual training needs with the staff and inputs from Nursing Incharges/Supervisors. Implementation of training calendar as per the training needs. Coordination with Nursing Incharges for competency assessment of staff. Identify patient needs to promote quality care and safety. Conducting departmental induction program for new joinees. Preparation, internalization and revision of SOPs. Tracking of outcome measures and quality indicators and escalate issues when required. Ensure compliance to infection control protocols. Implements programs to facilitate quality care and safe practice. Delivers competency-based programs for skill upgradation and knowledge retention. Coordination of Continuous Nursing Education (CNE) programs for skill enhancement. Planning, organizing and conducting regular Basic Life Support (BLS) program. Develops evidence-based educational material. Participates in committees, work groups/projects related to the implementation of educational activities. Evaluates effectiveness of the educational programs. Involvement in various Clinical Committees with objective of patient care/safety and development of professional nursing practice. Maintenance of competency assessment records /training needs of staff. Maintenance of training records of staff. Staff Certification for successful completion of BLS. Competency assessment of staff. BLS certification. Training Calendar. Revision of SOPs.
