Job Overview : The Agency Manager for Motor Insurance will be responsible for managing and growing the motor insurance portfolio through a network of agents. This position requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and excellent customer relationship management skills to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional service to customers. The Agency Manager will oversee agent recruitment, training, and performance management while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities : Agency Recruitment & Development : Recruit and onboard agents to build a strong agency force for motor insurance products. Provide training and guidance to new and existing agents on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service standards. Set individual sales targets and monitor agent performance regularly. Sales & Target Achievement : Drive the achievement of sales targets by implementing effective sales strategies and motivating agents. Develop and execute marketing and promotional plans to increase motor insurance sales in the region. Track and analyze sales performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and growth. Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with agents to ensure high levels of motivation and engagement. Provide ongoing support to agents by addressing concerns, offering solutions, and facilitating their success. Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery for customers. Compliance & Quality Control : Ensure all motor insurance policies comply with internal guidelines, regulatory standards, and industry best practices. Monitor and ensure that all insurance claims and transactions are processed in accordance with company procedures. Handle escalated customer complaints and resolve issues promptly. Reporting & Administration : Prepare regular reports on sales performance, agent activities, and business development efforts. Maintain accurate records of agency recruitment, training, and performance. Conduct regular market research to stay updated on competitors and industry trends. Skills and Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Marketing, or related field. Minimum of [X] years of experience in insurance sales or agency management, preferably in motor insurance. Strong knowledge of motor insurance products, sales strategies, and market dynamics. Proven ability to recruit, train, and manage a team of agents to meet business goals. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership abilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving and team development. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM software. Preferred : Insurance certifications (e.g., IRDAI certification) or relevant industry qualifications.
