Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and creative News Editor with a strong background in journalism and digital publishing. The ideal candidate should be able to write and edit high-quality news and current affairs content, manage site operations, lead a team of copy editors, and ensure timely and accurate story publication.

Key Responsibilities:

Write quality articles on news, politics, and current affairs
Ensure creativity and a strong business perspective in content
Edit wire stories promptly and accurately
Maintain fact and style consistency in all content
Oversee site management and ensure attention to detail
Ensure successful and timely publication of stories
Select appropriate images and stories aligned with audience interests
Take initiatives to enhance content quality and diversity
Guide copy editors in prioritizing stories and responding to live events
Mentor and train copy editors for improved performance
Lead editorial shifts independently and ensure smooth operations
Maintain high editorial standards and meet strict deadlines
