Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Monitor and implement infection control policies across all hospital departments.
Conduct surveillance of Hospital-Acquired Infections (HAIs) and perform regular hygiene and environmental audits.
Ensure consistent compliance with NABH Infection Control standards.
Organize and coordinate Infection Control Committee meetings.
Train hospital staff on hand hygiene, PPE usage, and biomedical waste management.
Investigate infection outbreaks, document findings, and prepare reports.
Maintain accurate infection control records, logs, and documentation.
Work closely with nursing, housekeeping, and clinical teams to maintain a safe and infection-free environment.

Preferred candidate profile

GNM / B.Sc Nursing / M.Sc Nursing (ICN training or prior experience preferred).
Good understanding of hospital infection control protocols and NABH standards.
Strong documentation, reporting, and audit skills.
Good communication and ability to train staff.
Familiarity with biomedical waste management rules.
