Job Description

Role & responsibilities -

Design and develop
sheet metal parts and assemblies
for chassis, frame, brackets, mounting structures, and body components.
Lead the integration of
chassis and suspension systems
for two-wheeler platforms (ICE or EV).
Conduct
3D modeling, 2D detailing, and tolerance stack-up analysis
using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX).
Work closely with vehicle integration, powertrain, and electrical teams to ensure packaging feasibility and interface compatibility.
Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure DFM/DFA compliance.
Perform structural analysis, material selection, and support validation/testing of sheet metal components.
Drive design reviews, cost optimization, and weight reduction initiatives.
Ensure compliance with
homologation, safety, and regulatory standards
relevant to 2W vehicles.
Prepare and maintain design documentation, BOMs, and engineering change records.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering or a related field.
5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the two-wheeler automobile industry
(Mandatory).
Strong knowledge of
sheet metal design, tooling, and manufacturing processes
.
Hands-on experience with
chassis frame, swing arm, handlebar, mounting brackets, and related components
.
Proficiency in
SolidWorks
(preferred), or other CAD tools such as CATIA/NX.
Good understanding of
welding techniques, GD&T, and material properties
.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
