Urgent Hiring for SAP MDG Consultant for Chennai Location. (Onsite)

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Stream Leadership
• Lead the SAP MDG workstream within the SAP transformation program.
• Define and drive the MDG roadmap in alignment with the programs convergence and simplification goals.
• Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders, ICT teams, and system integrators for MDG topics.
• Solution & Governance
• Design and implement SAP MDG solutions for business partner, material, finance, and other domains.
• Ensure alignment of data governance standards, rules, and processes across global and regional operations.
• Support data harmonization, cleansing, and migration activities.
• Define data ownership and stewardship models in collaboration with the business.
• Program Execution
• Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of MDG solutions.
• Monitor progress, risks, and dependencies related to the MDG stream.
• Drive testing, cutover preparation, and hyper care support for MDG-related functionalities.
• Ensure compliance with Onsite ICT policies, security standards, and data quality requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

Education:

Bachelors degree in Arts / Computer Science, Mgt. Info. Systems or equivalent work experience.

EXPERIENCE

• 7+ years of experience as SAP MDM/MDG Consultant, with at least 23 full-cycle MDG implementations.
• Proven track record as stream lead / solution lead in large-scale SAP S/4HANA or ECC transformation programs.
• Solid experience with Master Data Domains: Business Partner (Customer/Vendor), Material, Finance, and reference data.
• Experience in data governance models, workflows, and integration with SAP and non-SAP systems.

KNOWLEDGE

• Strong knowledge of SAP MDG architecture, data models, and workflows.
• Understanding of SAP S/4HANA data model and its impact on MDG.
• Familiarity with data quality, data migration, and cleansing tools/methodologies.
• Knowledge of automotive or manufacturing industries is a plus.

SOFT SKILLS

• Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (French/Italian is a plus).
• Ability to work in a multicultural, international, and fast-paced environment.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving and decision-making skills.
